Overview

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced the Agniveer Vayu recruitment cycle for 2027, targeting young aspirants for technical and non‑technical roles. This intake, referred to as Intake 02 2027, will run under the broader Recruitment 2026 drive.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Age: 17.5 to 21 years as of the first day of the month in which the recruitment cycle begins.
• Education: Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or an equivalent diploma in a relevant stream.
• Nationality: Indian citizen.

Application Process

Eligible aspirants can submit their applications through the official online portal. The steps are:

1. Register with a valid mobile number and email ID.
2. Fill in personal, academic, and demographic details.
3. Upload scanned copies of documents (photo, signature, mark sheets).
4. Pay the prescribed application fee via net banking or credit/debit card.

Selection Procedure

The selection comprises three stages:

• Written Examination: Objective type questions covering English, Mathematics, Physics, and Reasoning.
• Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Includes running, push‑ups, sit‑ups, and other standard tests.
• Medical Examination: Conducted at IAF medical facilities to ensure fitness for service.

Training & Service

Selected candidates will undergo a comprehensive training program at the designated IAF training institute. The training includes technical modules, physical conditioning, and discipline drills. Upon successful completion, recruits will be assigned to various IAF units based on merit and organizational needs.
